Keep'n it simple

Oh yes, I know how to knit gloves, socks, sweaters with cables and other textures... I used to go for it when I was young. But nowadays, the most simple knitwear I prefer. Just doing it with nice yarn: a soft mixed alpaca in my favorite color (nr 7233). Which I used double and that I will use once again for sure. I'm dreaming of a nice and warm sweater for M...

L is such a sweet and patient model; she wanted to show you all possibilities. I added a tiny detail for her, a surprise after waking up this morning. And yes, she's really happy with it.
Btw, does anyone have a tip for getting a fully invisible seam in a case like mine?

Zo, jij hebt hard doorgebreid in een week! Ik vind de rode draad weer een echte Lightbluegrey vondst! Ik haak de zomen vast. Dat is niet onzichtbaar, maar wel je krijgt een stoer soort biesje.

Thank you for this idea! I am currently making an infinity scarf just like your, very plain, in grey an was wondering how to make it a bit more interesting. Your cowl make me think of cross stitches, I am going to try to embroider a rose to the scarf or if that fails, just use plain lines as you have done.

Lovely! This page includes instructions on kitchener stitch (grafting) in garter stitch, for a near to invisible join.

I love this. I have been looking for a pattern for this type of scarf. Do you have the pattern or are you willing to share?:)

@ wildnessrun: there is really no need for a pattern. Just knit a rectangle in only knit stitches (or garter stitches) as wide and as long as you want. After finishing this rectangle join first en final row to achieve a circular cowl.
Good luck!

This is so gorgeous! I found it through Pinterest, and I love the little stripes and the color combination.
I do have a method for invisible seaming I can suggest. I designed a garter cowl knit on the bias, and finished it with a modified kitchener stitch for a totally invisible seam. I'm not trying to spam your blog with links :), but please send me a message if you'd like more information!
