Like a goose and giveaway

Almost a month ago L turned 9. Our house is perfect suitable for a Ganzenbord (or the Game of Goose or Goose board) birthday party, we thought. We have so many stairs and surprising nooks and crannies. The idea is that all around the house are numbers, from basement till the upper room. We made 63 yellow envelopes, some of which are yellow bags. L helped a lot and loved to write the numbers. Inside the envelopes the kids found an instruction to do or make or guess or play or collect something. Apart from the instruction they found some supplies as well inside the bags, like a tapeline or some goodies. For this birthday party L had to invite eight friends, to be able to make three groups of three kids. With one dice for each group off they went to be occupied for many hours. The kids loved it, it was a big hit! And of course especially our basement filled with clutter was the most popular place to be.

For the Dutch readers among you: nu liggen de tasjes en enveloppen hier en, omdat de voorbereidingen best veel werk kostten, vroeg ik me opeens af of ik misschien iemand met dit feestje blij kan maken. Laat maar even weten in de reacties. Bij meerdere reacties zal ik iemand trekken.

Giveaway winner

It's the 20th, right? So there's something to giveaway today! Thanks for so many nice words.
These days are really busy and that's the only reason that I had to rely on the unoriginal, but handy random.org to do the selection. No doubt about it: Jozefien is the winner of this leather sample bag. Please send me your address, so I can send this little present to you. The rest of you I might cheer up with this...
Finally, let me be in time this year: a merry x-mas to all of you!

Giveaway

You know I'm not so generous on my blog. Not like other co-bloggers. But today I must say: promise is a promise. So I'm giving this reversible leather sample bag to one of you. This week I'll post a tutorial as well, so when you happen to be not the winner, you can try to make one yourself! This bag is the result of the tutorial; sizes are 16 x 26 cm.
If you're interested, please leave a sweet comment and I'll pick a winner on Thursday 20th. The very same day I plan to send the post, hoping that this festive bag arrives in time to be worn at X-mas ;). I will ship world-wide so anyone is welcome to enter if you'd like. Please spread the word!

Giveaway winner

For those curious ones about the second part of the giveaway: here it is! But for whom was it made? Oh, exciting... Today my Chinese colleague Tao chose a random number between 1 to 37. Congratulations Jennifer of Little Birds Fly, these two ornaments will be yours in a few days. Happy Christmas to you!
Thank you all for passing by and writing such sweet comments. My conclusion is that my first giveaway was a great hit!

First giveaway

I like to try something new. For no other special reason than soon having Christmas time (read present time), I thought it was time for a fast and small giveaway: two double sided ornaments. Just leave a short (and sweet ;)) comment and I'll randomly pick a winner next Wednesday already!
When you come back that day, I'll show the still secret second part of the giveaway just before closing time (4 p.m. Amsterdam-time), that looks like the Christmas variant of this ornament. The very same day I plan to send the post, hoping it arrives before the 25th. I will ship world-wide so anyone is welcome to enter if you'd like.
