In general I dislike the use of plastic bags. A very few are such beauties (like those from museumshops) they excape from this rule and are treated like treasures. No way I would consider to give them to somebody who suddenly needs one ;).
When F and M+L leave in a hurry to attend viollin-lesson, they use to grab an aweful plastic bag to carry the music books. You understand this should be ended. Here's a new bag for all the stuff, including the new ring binder. Because in the end I was disappointed about the width of the bag, I added two snap fasteners. They reshaped the bag fairly well, I think.

I've got the same "problem" ;). I love making bags for every occasion. I always think: much better than plastic. It frustrates me that I always have to tell people in shops: "No, I don't need a bag. I've got a fabric bag".
Clever to reshape the bag with snaps. It took me some time to find the snap in the picture ;).
Leuk!
ohhh awesome! I love the addition of snaps. Perfect!
Wat een super vrolijke tas! Laat het voorjaar maar beginnen. Zo'n tas staat ook nog op mijn verlangenlijstje om te maken... Bedankt voor de inspiratie! :)
Lovely lovely! what is that fabric?
@ Larissa: check out Ikea!
ah, yes! we have the seem weekly trot to piano, and are in need of a bag. we have many cloth ones, but all are pink and/or flowered. not really my ten year old son's style :) i do believe your gray-based beauty could provide a jumping off point for something he would be proud to carry. thanks!
Ben fan!
This is adorable! I definitely must replace all plastic with these!
